A small online class in English literature for Paper II, taught by Rohan Thomas Cherian, who teaches literature at St. Xavier’s College Jaipur. We read closely, argue carefully, and prepare for the paper without reducing the syllabus to a list of names and dates.

About the Instructor
Mr. Rohan T. Cherian
I teach English literature at St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur. Most of my week is spent in a classroom with students reading poems and novels for the first time, and I teach this class the same way.
The NET is a difficult examination, but it is not a mysterious one. If you can read attentively and write clearly, the rest is preparation — and that part I can help with.
Questions I am usually asked…
1. Is Paper I included?
No, i will not be teaching Paper I as of now.
2. Does the class cover the whole syllabus?
All ten units of the English syllabus, from Chaucer to contemporary Indian writing in English, along with literary theory and criticism.
3. What if I miss a class?
Every session is recorded and shared the same night, with the reading notes. You can catch up before the next class.
4. Is this suitable for a first attempt?
Yes, and for repeat attempts too. The reading starts from the beginning; the practice sets are what tell us where you stand.
5. Can I attend before paying?
